Hello all,
So this week in Health and Wellness, we did another relaxation exercise, that as usual I was left feeling calm, focused and ready to problem solve and create.  We were asked to rate our spritual wellbeing and here I would have to say I am at an 8 on a 1 to 10 scale, to be at a 10, I like to make sure I am hearing Gods message whether it be through reading, listening to messages On radio, church, the bible, really anything that I am consciously listening on a daily basis.  second rating is to my physical wellbeing which I am at a 9, I am very Fit and eat really well, just about at Fitness modeling ability, I feel good accept I am guilty of having some drinks a couple times a week which is not so bad, but I smoke when I drink, which is not good so I need to cut that Out.  Third category to rate myself on is psychological, which I am at a 9 as well, with 3 children by myself and running a Business  I feel I am able to accomplish anything I set my mind to and while reading Elliot S. Dacher Integral Health: The Path to Human Flourishing, I have come to the realization that the preparation phases he speaks of, which are loving-kindness, skillful action and silence and stillness, this is the way I try to operate On a daily basis, although I am tested I would like to be like this all the time.  Oh and I am at a loss with why the exercise was referred to as the crime of the century.  Thanks for letting me share.

Hello All,
I have learned over the last few years of being a Yoga instructor and student in health and wellness, how effective relaxation techniques are in our fast paced, stress filled lives.  The relaxation technique we have been guided through as an exercise was useful, beause it had you become aware of your body parts breathing into them and focus on increasing your circulation.  It is a proven fact that belly breathing helps calm the sympathetic nervous system.  I felt the difference, have had normal everyday life stress my body, after the relaxation exercise I felt calm and more centered in mind, Body, and emotions, which made be more focused to write this blog.  At the end of Yoga, I guide people through meditation in shavasana, which is corpse pose, you focus on just playing dead pretty much, but while your on your back.  I have them focus on their breathing and really bring their awareness into their bodies and all they just did to it in strengthing and stretching.  The important part of relaxation is to stay in the presemt moment feeling everything, this focus really helps clear the mind of the clutter and making an individual better able to concentrate, create, be present, and feel better.  Another important factor in making relaxation a regular part of my routine is in having the awareness of the body, I can tune into any aches and pains and focus on healing myself with my mind and bodies natUral ability, for example closing your eyes and feeling a spot with tension, that could become an issue for me, because when your tense you are more prone to injury, I picture wrapping it in a bubble and releasing it through my breathing, so in essense just letting it go.  Thanks for reading, happy relaxing to all and blogging.

Ok so I am into another semester and learning about how to apply nutrition to my clients and increasing my knowledge on Integral healing.  Integral healing is interesting Ken Wilber And Elliot S. Dacher are the two authors we are getting to know om the subject right now.  Its all about healing thyself, so I am hoping the spirituality factor and God are not lost here, because there is a lot to be said on the faith aspect of healing.  I truly believe God can help in some of our anxiety filled hours.  This life is not an easy one and when I trust I Gods plan for me it comforts me and I hope to incorporate this philosophy when I have developed my full treatment plan for helping others.
